Scott Leach, who has been president of the New South Wales branch of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) since 2008, has this morning been elected as national president.
A special meeting of the AHA was held this morning in Melbourne, were Mr Leach was voted into the national presidency.
Leach takes over the position from Peter Burnett, AM, from Victoria, and stated that he was looking forward to the role on a national scale.
“I am extremely humbled by the support of my colleagues across Australia,” he stated.
“I look forward to working with the various AHA teams right across the nation over the coming year, as we continue to advocate for what is best for our industry and our hundreds of thousands of employees.”
While taking over the national role, Leach will continue in his position of president of AHA NSW.
