Laundy Hotels pub The Horse & Jockey has launched a new menu in collaboration with Missy K, a renowned chef of pan-Asian cuisine. The partnership with Missy K was led by Laundy Hotels group executive chef Jamie Gannon.
“We’re incredibly excited to work with Missy K,” stated Gannon.
“Her dedication to bold, authentic flavours and her ability to elevate everyday ingredients into something extraordinary aligns perfectly with the Horse & Jockey’s mission to deliver unforgettable dining experiences. We’re thrilled to bring this fusion of exciting flavours to our venue, and we can’t wait for guests to experience what we’ve created together.”
Missy K (Kim Udomdj), a legend in Sydney’s food scene, has 30 years of culinary experience, including the success of her famous Paddington restaurant, Missy K, where she built a following for her dumplings and other signature dishes, including Peking duck spring rolls and beef curry.
Following this success, Missy K expanded with Burger K by Missy Kin St Peters and Bowl & Blend, a coastal juice bar in Coolangatta on the Gold Coast.
The Missy K collaboration menu is now available at the Horse & Jockey Hotel, featuring a mix of small plates, wok-fried creations, noodles, and curries. The new menu includes some of Missy K’s most beloved dishes alongside exciting new offerings, including handmade dumplings with fillings like prawn and spinach, pork and garlic chive, and cumin beef and onion; cuttlefish and prawn toast with chilli jam; dan dan chilli Sichuan noodles; roast pork belly with chilli and wild ginger paste, green beans, and kaffir leaf; crab fried rice with XO sauce; and slow cooked lamb shank rendang.
This collaboration with Missy K at The Horse & Jockey Hotel follows the successful collaboration with Manu Feildel at The Red Lion Hotel in Rozelle, which houses the successful Red Lion Bistro by Manu.
The Horse & Jockey Hotel has undergone a major renovation, and now features a pan-Asian restaurant, a spacious courtyard, and accommodation, providing a vibrant setting for the new collaboration.
