With just over a month until AHA NSW presents its Awards for Excellence, voting is now open for the second annual People’s Choice Award.
Over 10,000 votes were cast for the inaugural 2022 award, with the Collie Hotel taking out the top accolade. This year’s finalists hail from across the state, including Sydney, the Hunter, the Snowy Mountains, and Parkes.
This year’s winner will be announced on 31 October, at Royal Randwick Racecourse.
AHA NSW CEO John Whelan is impressed by the enthusiasm that patrons are showing for their local pubs.
“The introduction of this category last year proved incredibly popular – because people are extremely passionate about their local pub,” he said.
“With this award the public decides the winner, so I encourage everyone who loves their local to vote and let all of NSW know their pub is the best in the state,” he encouraged.
The award finalists are:
- Banjo Paterson Inn, Jindabyne
- Bogan Gate Pub, Bogan Gate
- Bull and Bush Hotel, Medowie
- Camellia Hotel, Rosehill
- Coachman Hotel Motel, Parkes
- Cooee Hotel, St Georges Basin
- Gerogery Hotel, Gerogery
- Lakeside Village Tavern, Raymond Terrace
- Lawrence Tavern, Lawrence
- The Bradford Hotel, Rutherford
- The Fiddler, Rouse Hill
- Wharf Bar, Manly
Voting will end at 11.59pm on Friday 29 September, and votes can be cast at https://www.ahaawardsnsw.com.au/peoples-choice.
