Taylors Wines has released its 2025 Family Flagship collection, a line-up of 12 wines spanning six vintages from 2018 through to 2023. The release showcases the Clare Valley-based winery’s pinnacle ranges – Masterstroke, St Andrews, The Visionary, The Pioneer and The Legacy – alongside selected back-vintage bottles.
The three centrepieces of the release are The Pioneer Shiraz 2019 ($220), The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 ($220) and The Legacy Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 ($1000). The wines are named in honour of the Taylor family’s founding figures and reflect the winery’s ongoing focus on producing benchmark expressions of Clare Valley and South Australian wine.
Chief Winemaker Adam Eggins said: “The 2025 Family Flagship Release is a celebration of our finest winemaking here at Taylors and an exploration of Australia’s top winemaking regions including our home here in the Clare Valley.
This year’s release of The Legacy features updated packaging, described by the winery as combining sophistication with sustainability. The bottle is presented in a new compact format with a rhodium-plated badge, certificate of authenticity and a vintage-specific polished metal coaster.
The Masterstroke range continues Taylors’ regional exploration of South Australia, while four wines from the St Andrews collection, named after the family’s Clare Valley estate established in 1892, complete the portfolio.
Eggins added: “The Family Flagship Release is always a proud moment for us here in the Taylors winemaking team, and this year is no exception. We are showcasing some of the most special vintages we’ve experienced here in the Clare Valley – think 2022 as an absolute standout while 2018 is labelled as one of the all-time greats. But you can’t forget the 2019 vintage as seen in The Pioneer and The Visionary which boasts great concentration and depth of flavour from a warm yet rewarding vintage.”
The Family Flagship Release is positioned as the culmination of more than 50 years of investment in winemaking and viticulture.
Third-generation Winemaker and Chairman Mitchell Taylor said: “The unveiling of the Family Flagship Release wines reflects both our dedication to producing unrivalled quality in Australian winemaking and our commitment to shaping a legacy that will inspire future generations.
“As a third-generation family-owned winery, paying homage to the vision of my grandfather and father is always at the heart of Taylors, while also looking ahead to the future to strive for innovation and excellence.”
