ILG CEO Paul Esposito officially opened the group’s 50th anniversary conference this week, welcoming members to Barcelona for what he described as “an annual reunion” filled with business sessions, cultural tours, and plenty of fun.

Speaking at the Majestic Hotel, Esposito said it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces as well as first-timers.

“It seems like yesterday we last got together,” he said. “For those of you joining your first ILG trip – it won’t be your last.”

Esposito reflected on the strong sense of community that has defined ILG over its 50 years. With members and directors representing every state, he praised the diversity and unity of the group.

“It’s been a good year for ILG, and it’s great to have everyone together here to mark this milestone,” he said.

The conference blends business and celebration, with a balanced agenda of breakfast sessions, cultural tours, free time to explore Barcelona and Lisbon, and a gala dinner to close the event.

Esposito encouraged attendees to connect widely throughout the week, saying: “By the end of this trip, everyone will know everyone.”

As ILG looks to the future, Esposito noted that the anniversary was not just a chance to reflect on the group’s history but also to build momentum for the years ahead.

“The next few days are about connection, collaboration and celebration,” he said.
