Jim Barry Wines has launched its 2025 fundraising campaign, which will support the McGrath Foundation and help fund McGrath Cancer Care Nurses across Australia.
From September to November 2025, Jim Barry Wines will donate 50 cents from every specially marked bottle sold across its range, including Watervale Shiraz and Riesling, Barry Bros. Shiraz, Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon, The McRae Wood Shiraz and Atherley wines.
The campaign will run nationwide across major retailers (excluding Coles), on-premise venues and independent stores. Since 2021, the winery has contributed $140,000 annually to fund a McGrath Breast Care Nurse, with this year’s initiative designed to build on that commitment.
“We’re incredibly proud to support the McGrath Foundation,” said Olivia Hoffmann-Barry, Marketing Director at Jim Barry Wines. “The work these nurses do is life-changing, and using our wines to help fund that care means a lot to our entire family.”
This year Jim Barry Wines has released a new pairing in support of the McGrath Foundation, matching its flagship Watervale Riesling with the newly launched 2022 Watervale Shiraz.
The Shiraz is described as a fresh, medium-bodied Clare Valley wine with bright blue and blackberry fruit, floral notes and spice, designed as a red counterpart to the Riesling, which is recognised for its citrus purity and cellaring potential.
Together, the wines showcase the character of Watervale while contributing to the foundation’s fundraising efforts.
In addition to the wines, Jim Barry Wines is hosting the Pour It Forward Black Tie Gala on Saturday, 18 October 2025, at Jackson Square, Hindmarsh, to celebrate the campaign. The evening will feature:
- Guest speaker: Glenn McGrath
- A three-course dinner by Cargo Catering
- Live music from: Sax & Love
- A silent charity auction
All funds raised on the evening will go directly to the McGrath Foundation.
