Drinks professionals in Sydney are invited to attend a free trade tasting event designed to connect liquor retailers, business owners, sommeliers and venue managers with Clare Valley winemakers.
Hosted by the Clare Valley Wine & Grape Association (CVWGA), the Clare Valley: Red & Refined event will showcase the best in Clare Valley red wines through a trade tasting and two masterclasses.
Representing one of Australia’s most celebrated wine regions, the CVWGA will proudly communicate the region’s rich winemaking heritage and dedication to quality, diversity and innovation.
Taking place on Wednesday 18 June in the Barnet Long Room at Custom House, 12 winemakers and producers from the Clare Valley will showcase the best red wine the region has to offer. The lineup features acclaimed producers such as Taylors Wines, Pikes Wines, Sussex Squire Wines, Pauletts and Jim Barry Wines.
Attendees will have the option to learn more about these wines in two expert-led masterclasses, one dedicated to Shiraz and the other to Cabernet Sauvignon. Each masterclass will feature museum vintage wines awarded gold medals at the Clare Valley Wine Show.
The event is free to attend and open to the drinks trade. The tasting will take place in two sessions, from 1-3pm and 3:30-5pm, in addition to the hour-long masterclasses. You can register your interest in the tasting and/or masterclasses here.
