Little Creatures and Liquor Barons have unveiled the winner of the Create Your Kegacy competition, with Ravensthorpe local Stevie Smart’s limited-edition creation, Little Towns Crispy Lager, now available through the Liquor Barons retail network in WA.

With support from the master brewers at Little Creatures’ Fremantle Brewery, Smart oversaw the entire creative process of the beer, selecting the flavours, naming the lager, and designing the can and packaging.

Little Towns Crispy Lager was inspired by the camaraderie of small WA towns.

“My Little Towns Crispy Lager is an ode to the small, welcoming country towns in WA where people travel far and wide to catch up at the local pub. With a crisp, refreshing taste it’s the perfect companion for hot summer days, a cold beer in hand and yarn with your mates is all you need, no matter the occasion,” Smart said.

Russell Gosling, Head Brewer at Little Creatures, enjoyed the process of working with Smart, and is pleased with the finished product.

“Collaborating with passionate beer lovers like Stevie is what makes our craft so special. Little Towns Crispy Lager is a fantastic brew that reflects the spirit of WA’s close-knit communities, and we’re thrilled to see it come to life, and confident it’s going to be a crowd pleaser,” he said.

Eliza Schwab, Marketing Manager for Liquor Barons, said that the project was an example of the strong sense of community in the WA beer scene.

“We’re so proud of what this partnership has achieved, showcasing what happens when creativity and community come together. We are eager to see Little Towns Crispy Lager hit the Liquor Barons shelves, bringing people together across WA,” she said.

As the winner of Little Creatures Create Your Kegacy competition, Smart will also receive a year’s supply of Little Creatures and tickets to the Fremantle Beer Fest 2024.

Little Towns Crispy Lager is available for purchase from Liquor Barons stores from late September.
