Maretti, a much-loved Italian wine brand celebrated for its regional expression and selection of fresh and vibrant wines, is launching its new Italia range in Australia.

Sourced from Italy’s Pavia and Puglia regions, the Maretti Italia range is a lively collection of wines crafted to reflect the character of Italian winemaking.

Alex Caillard, Maretti Global Marketing Manager said this balanced range meets Australia’s demand for value and quality wine.

“We are excited to expand our offering of Maretti wines in Australia, tapping into a growing segment of adventurous consumers seeking to venture beyond traditional domestic wine styles.

“Maretti’s Italia wine range strikes the perfect balance of authentic Italian heritage, great tasting wine, and accessibility – meeting the evolving tastes of today’s sophisticated yet value conscious drinkers,” he said.

Featuring five wines from red to white to sparkling, the range is described as bold in flavour and fresh in character.

Light-bodied and elegant, the Pinot Noir offers aromas of red cherry, raspberry and a hint of spice. The palate is smooth and fruit-forward, with soft tannins and a touch of earthiness on the finish – a refined and versatile red with broad appeal.

The 2024 Maretti Italia sparkling Pinot Grigio opens with aromas of green apple, citrus zest and white flowers. On the palate, it’s crisp and refreshing, with notes of pear and lemon sherbet carried by a fine, persistent mousse. Clean and delicate, it finishes with a hint of minerality and mouthwatering freshness.

Juicy and approachable, the Maretti Sangiovese shows ripe red plum, cherry, and subtle hints of dried herbs. The palate is round and generous, with soft tannins and a smooth, fruit-driven finish. A crowd-pleasing red that pairs effortlessly with everyday meals.

The rosé in the range is bright and aromatic, with notes of wild strawberry, watermelon and rose petal. The palate is dry and crisp, with a refreshing acidity and a clean, delicate finish. Perfectly suited to casual sipping or light summer fare.
