The Vinexposium group continues its commitment to the APAC region, with Vinexpo Asia held in Hong Kong this year, after the successful return to Asia in 2023 in Singapore. Last year 10,000 industry professionals from 64 countries attended Vinexpo’s return to Asia, with buzz now building for this year’s event after a six-year absence from Hong Kong.

Vinexpo Asia is a major calendar event and platform for commercial transactions, fostering partnerships between producers, distributors and buyers within the drinks retail and hospitality industries, with key stakeholders from all around forging new relationships, trying new products and learning about new global trends that they can take back to their own businesses.

“Building on Vinexpo Asia’s proven success in Singapore in 2023, Vinexposium continues to play a central part in the economic growth and vitality of the wine and spirits industry in Asia, consistently raising industry standards and promoting an environment conducive to trade and investments,” stated Vinexposium CEO Rodolphe Lameyse.

Deputy CEO Laurent Bos proclaimed that Vinexpo Asia would once again be hugely beneficial from drinks experts, and a must-attend event for anyone looking to improve and grow their drinks offering and knowledge.

“Vinexpo Asia is a premium trade show, 100 per cent for business, and is positioned as the industry’s unrivalled event for business development.”

Products and knowledge

Vinexpo Asia will combine a massive products showcase, as well as an educational component. 1300 producers from forty countries will exhibit their wines and spirits – including a significant showing from Australian producers that places it in the top five of exhibiting nations. This year there will also be a dedicated area to organic and biodynamic wines and spirits, entitled WOW! Welcome to the Organic World.

From an educational perspective, Vinexpo Academy will offer a rich program of 55 masterclasses, roundtables and tastings over the three days to enable visitors to further develop their knowledge in a wide variety of topics. Seventy-five industry experts from around the world will lead these sessions.

On 27 May, the day before Vinexpo Asia kicks off officially, the B+D Grand Tasting will be held, in partnership between Vinexposium and Bettane+Desseauve, esteemed wine critics from France. The Grand Tasting is an opportunity for 1000 participants to meet 70 producers from around the world.

“Everything is in place to ensure this year’s Vinexpo Asia remains the industry’s most powerful meeting place, awaited by all and ready to strengthen the unique bond of friendship that has existed between Vinexposium and Hong Kong for more than 25 years,” stated Bos.

Vinexpo Asia 2024 will be held 28-30 May at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Ten thousand trade visitors are expected to attend, with half of the attendees anticipated to be importers and the other half wholesalers, distributors, wine merchants, retailers, hoteliers and restaurateurs.
