With Australians set to spend over $800m on Fathers Day gifts this year, there is a huge opportunity for retailers and venue operators to help consumers discover Archie Rose’s range of award-winning whiskies that will undoubtedly make the perfect whisky for dad.

Archie Rose has a uniqueness to their spirits – their individual malt stream system, which enables the team to extract maximum flavour from each malt.

The process sees each malt in the mash bill is milled, mashed, fermented, distilled and matured separately, allowing the team to tailor every step of the production process, yeast selection, cask type and maturation conditions to each specific malt, rather than having to settle for “average” conditions that suit the mash bill as a whole, as is far more typical in whisky production.

“With some of the most spectacular ingredients in the world on our doorstep, we want to represent our experience as Australian whisky drinkers and creators by reflecting the richness and diversity of the Australian terroir in every product,” says Archie Rose Master Distiller Dave Withers.

ARCHIE ROSE WHISKIES

This Father’s Day, Archie Rose is highlighting three whiskies from both its Signature and Fundamental ranges, each with their own unique flavour characteristics that appeal to a wide range of audiences.

Double Malt Whisky, part of the Fundamental Spirits range, stays true to Archie Rose’s brand values, featuring local, native and sustainably sourced ingredients, whilst offering more people a new level of pricing accessibility to the highest quality Australian spirits.

Withers said: “Our goal with Double Malt Whisky was to create a premium and affordable whisky that could be used in place of Bourbon, rye or blended Scotch whisky, while also giving whisky drinkers the option to switch to an all-malt, local whisky for the first time.”

As one of the first all-malt Australian whiskies available at a sub $85 price tag, each batch is made at the Archie Rose Distillery in Botany, Sydney using a solera system, where, over time, rye and barley whiskies are married together.

Single Malt Whisky has been named Australia’s Best Single Malt Whisky eight times, and is distinctly crafted to highlight six Australian malts, each with a unique profile and character. While most distilleries use just one malt, the individual malt stream process allows for the best flavour from each of the six malt’s to be extracted, and then brought together in the final product.

This care and attention to detail in the cask bill brings a natural sweetness to complement the tasting notes of fresh herbs, shortbread biscuits, raisins, toffee and dark chocolate on the nose, with a palate that is luscious with well-integrated flavours of sticky date pudding and amaretto with a final note of espresso.

Rye Malt Whisky is another award winning product, having been named World’s Best Rye on three occasions.

To create this truly unique whisky, Archie Rose selectively source rare malted rye and the finest malted barley from progressive malt houses, pairing them with virgin American oak casks air-dried for 36 months allowing it to mature in the maritime air of coastal Sydney.

Over the last ten years Archie Rose has moved to sourcing 100% Australian malts as the foundation for their award winning whiskies, supporting its belief that great whisky starts its life in the field.
