Queensland Beer Week will flow into the sunshine state again next month in a state-wide celebration of Australian beer and beer culture.
Taking place from July 13 to 21, the event will include beer-themed events such as tastings, dinners, masterclasses and festival-style events, held at acclaimed venues such as Brewhouse Brisbane, Townsville Brewing Co, Kerbside and The Scratch.
Specific events include the official launch 'Five Flavours' featuring Mornington Peninsula Brewery, a Portabella takeover by Moo Brew, 'Beer in Style' hosted by 'That Beer Bloke' Ian Kingham, and a masterclass on beer with King Island cheese hosted by Chuck Hahn.
Co-owner of The Scratch, Kieran Ryan, told TheShout the inaugural event in 2012 demonstrated Queensland's growing love of quality beer.
"Last year's Queensland Beer Week showed us just how eager folks are here in Queensland to get out and support their local good beer venues," said Ryan.
"The turnout of punters and industry pros alike highlighted the fact that this state is fast becoming a landmark on the beer lover's roadmap."
