Swedish cider producer Rekorderlig has confirmed it is expanding its range in Australia with the launch of Festival Apple and Festival Pear ciders.
The two ciders are both 6.5 per cent abv, and will be launched in a 10-can pack across Australia, and these ciders represent Rekorderlig's first foray into the canned cider market. The apple cider is being launched this month, with the pear variety coming in May.
Rekorderlig's marketing manager in Australia, Nikki Langford, said: "We're really excited to launch Rekorderlig Festival 6.5% cider to continue to drive both innovation and quality in the cider category.
"The 10-pack format with a higher abv offers greater consumer choice with an easy carry and dispense fridge pack.
"They will also provide genuine quality for existing cider fans as well as helping recruit new male and female consumers with a thirst for premium products."
The Festival ciders have been influenced by Rekordelig's European heritage, where ciders are traditionally produced with a higher abv, while the name "Festival" is inspired by the Swedish culture of festival celebrations such as Midsommar.
Rekorderlig told TheShout that it expects the 10-can pack to retail for between $27 and $30.
