Australian Beer Company, the brewer of Yenda, is teaming up with the Great Australian Beer SpecTapular (GABS) and Brewmanity to construct a giant Ferris wheel at this week's show in Melbourne.
As well as entertaining festival goes inside the Royal Exhibition Building, all the proceeds from the Yenda Wheel of Beer will go towards the Cure for MND Foundation.
Derek O’Donnell, general manager of Australian Beer Company, said: “Like the festival, we’re all about enjoying beer in a fun way. We’re delighted our wheel has been embraced by such a range of fantastic brewers and also find it rewarding that, as a community, we can do all this whilst also making a difference for a worthy cause.
"A big thanks also to Steve and Guy from GABS and David at Brewmanity for making this happen."
Australian Beer Company’s head brewer Andy Mitchell will be joined by craft brewers from Hawkers Beer, Wolf of the Willows, Stomping Ground (all Victoria), Batch Brewing (NSW) and Pirate Life (SA) in making a series of guest appearances to treat some festival-goers to special mid-air private tasting sessions.
As well as having the Wheel of Beer, Yenda will be debuting its Wattle Seed Ale at GABS. The six per cent ABV beer is brewed with native black wattle seed, which helps to deliver "sweet hazlenut notes".
This year GABS is talking place at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne from Friday 20 May to Sunday 22 May, then in Sydney at the Australian Technology Part from Friday 27 May to Saturday 28 May and finally in Auckland at the ASB Showgrounds on Saturday 18 June.
