The latest addition to the burgeoning list of Sydney small bars, Shirt Bar, held its official opening last week.with VIP guests and media treated to a new retail concept.

A large stylish crowd gathered at the Sussex Lane venue, which is offering a new twist on the small bar theme by combining coffee, cocktails and clothing in one location.

“The retail business is changing dramatically, and we feel that this new landscape is about more than just purchasing a product, it’s about adding more to a customer’s experience. Shirt Bar is the culmination of this and it’s incredibly exciting to finally bring the vision to life," owner Justin Marmot (pictured in centre), said.

All the guests received a free custom fitted shirt, with acoustic entertainment provided by The Silver Lining, who played a soulful set for the crowd as they indulged in Peroni beers, Mumm Champagne, Saint & Sinner wines and Diplimatico rums.

In addition, Chivas Regal brand ambassador Ben Davidson had a table set with a range of Chivas Regal aged Scotch whisky on offer, which was quite popular and busy throughout the night.

VIP guests included Masterchef judges Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan, as well as actors Alex Dimitriades and Salvatore Coco.
