Liquor Marketing Group (LMG) haved expanded their senior merchandise team with the creation of the Head of Category role.

According to Gavin Saunders, CEO of LMG, the Head of Category will provide “strategic direction, support and process overview for LMG merchandise team. The role will also work with the LMG merchandise team and supplier partners for joint business planning related to category and product initiatives.”
Turnham said he was “thrilled to be joining LMG”.
“I’m looking forward working with the LMG team, along with our member retailers and supplier partners to develop strategic, creative and engaging initiatives that delight our customers and drive maximum value for our members,” the new Head of Category continued.
Turnham has also previously worked for Fine Wine Partners for nearly 11 years, operating in senior positions across sales, portfolio strategy and channel planning.
LMG’s General Manager for Merchandise and Marketing, Damien Page, said: “Jeremy Turnham joins our team at a time where we are well positioned to continue our strong growth trajectory.”
According to Page, LMG has experienced 17 consecutive quarters of revenue growth. The company has also spent heavily on its marketing department, with Page saying: “We have doubled our investment in advertising, selling digital and eCommerce platforms.”
Turnham will also have a key role to play in this marketing department, as Saunders outlines: “The addition of the Head of Category role provides greater support to Damien, to focus on marketing and consumer initiatives.”
“The addition of the Head of Category role is a recognition of [the company’s] expansion and a further support to enhance our consumer reach and ultimately LMG members retail performance.”
