The Australian Hotels Association Western Australia (AHA WA) has announced the finalists of the State’s best cocktail competition.
The five finalists were judged on taste, how they look, creativity of ingredients, the story behind them or their connection to the venue, how they were promoted and price.
The Top Five are:
- QT Perth’s “E=Margarita2”
- Rhum Burgundy’s “Cup of Concrete”
- Terrarium Perth’s “Mango Crusta”
- The Claremont Hotel’s “Karri Wood Negroni”
- TWR-Crown Towers Perth’s “La Bamba”
AHA WA CEO, Bradley Woods, said 42 hospitality venues entered the competition in its inaugural year.
“This competition has highlighted the high quality, sophisticated cocktails that can be found in hospitality venues across Perth and regional WA,” Woods said.
“Western Australians flocked to venues in their droves and from that process we have narrowed the creator of WA’s best cocktail down to five contenders.
“Whichever venue wins later this month will secure major kudos and should be prepared to handle the inevitable deluge of patrons eager to try the State’s best cocktail for 2023.”
Partnered with Don Julio Tequila, finalists will recreate their cocktails in front of a live audience at the AHA Hospitality Expo at Crown Perth on June 27.
