Vranken-Pommery, the world’s number two Champagne house, has set up its own sales and marketing business in Australia.
The newly-established Australian arm will be focused on distributing Champagne Pommery Brut Royale NV, Champagne Pommery Brut Rosé NV, Champagne Pommery Vintage, Champagne Pommery Cuvée Louise and Champagne Pommery Brut Apanage as well as Champagne Heidsieck & Co Monopole and rosé wines from Listel within Australia.
Cameron Harris has been appointed managing director of Vranken-Pommery Australia, which will be based in Melbourne.
Harris has over 15 years experience in the liquor industry, having previously held positions with Diageo and Foster’s Group.
He most recently worked on managing relationships with Foster’s international brand partners, including Vranken-Pommery.
Harris is joined by Jon Cammell in Sydney and Tim Cohen in Melbourne in the role of brand development managers.
Cammell has worked for Montana in New Zealand, and Allied Domecq and Moet Hennessy in London, while Cohen has a degree in wine science and experience as a sommelier.
