According to Page Six and The Washington Post, everyone’s favourite it girl, Taylor Swift, was spied at Rye restaurant in Leawood, Kansas, on a girls’ night out ordering her alleged new “favourite cocktail”.

Said cocktail, the French Blonde – combination of gin, the French aperitif Lillet, St. Germain elderflower liqueur and grapefruit juice – has gone viral worldwide.

While the drink has reportedly been around since the 1902 – invented by a Parisian bartender, so they say – it first appeared in Saveur magazine in 2011, and is not commonplace on most on-premise cocktail lists.

With Swift bringing her Eras Tour to Melbourne and Sydney in the coming weeks, now is the perfect time to add the French Blonde to your cocktail menu and take advantage of this big trend.
