The Wild Turkey 101 Mentorship program kicked off last week, giving Australian artists the opportunity to work in partnership with Studios 301 and Angus and Julia Stone.

The program sees 10 up-and-coming artists gaining real-world skills and insights to help them navigate the music industry.

Julia Stone said: “Hands on experience and talking to people in the industry is really helpful in any career, especially with music. As writers & performers, we shared some of the things we’ve learnt along the way, and passed on the best advice we got while starting out. and hopefully shared some things that we wished we knew when we were starting out.

“The calibre of the entries this year was so impressive; it’s been incredible to be part of the Mentorship Program and meet such wonderful artists.”

Lynley White-Smith, Head of Partnerships at Studios 301, added: “It was great to welcome the shortlisted artists to Studios 301. We had an incredible lineup of workshops planned to give hands-on experience, where they worked with some of our best talent from the Australian music industry.”

Throughout the Program, the mentees attended six exclusive workshops held across 15-17 July in Sydney, learning from Angus & Julia Stone alongside Australia’s finest audio engineers, vocal producers, and songwriters.

Following the program the Wild Turkey House of Music 101 saw the emerging artists take to the stage at The Abercrombie Hotel to perform their original songs.

Paolo Marinoni, Marketing Director, Campari Australia & New Zealand, said: “The Wild Turkey Music 101 Mentorship Program was built on the foundation of conviction, unwavering belief, and mentorship. These values are at the core of Wild Turkey and the master distillers behind it, the Russell’s, and is now at the core of our mentorship program. It was a privilege to seeing this all come together at House of Music 101.”
