Yellow Tail wine has added to its Sparkling Cocktails range, with Mediterranean Lemon Spritz joining Wild Peach Bellini and Blood Orange Mimosa.
Spritz cocktails are widely viewed as one of the big drink trends for the summer and this is backed by Circana’s data which shows the category seeing 40.4 per cent volume growth and 35.5 per cent value growth in the wine segment.
Speaking about the new spritz, Yellow Tail Brand Manager Madeleine Legoe said: “Our Yellow Tail Sparkling Cocktails Mediterranean Lemon spritz is the perfect zesty new addition to our Sparkling cocktails range.
“With the growth of lemon and RTDs, there was an opportunity to innovate recruiting younger consumers into the category and [yellow tail] brand. Available just in time for Summer, it’s the perfect ready to drink cocktail, with no preparation necessary.”

Tasting notes describe a “pale straw hue”, with aromas of “plush lemon and pronounced zesty characters” plus a “complex palate, balancing a lemon sherbet acidity with lavish citrus sweetness, all giving a well-balanced, lengthy finish”.
