The Australian Distillers Association in partnership with Fermentis is hosting its first ‘Whisky and Yeast Masterclass’ this week, as part of a series of education webinars on distilling ingredients.

The webinar will feature Tom Ashton and Krishna Rajiv, who are both part of the Fermentis Technical Sales Support team and experts in their fields.

The webinar will cover a number of topics including:

  • Yeast considerations for whisky production,
  • The many profiles yeast can contribute to your whisky
  • Flavour profilers and how different yeast enzymes and bacteria can work together, and
  • How distillers can get the most out of these micro–organisms and understand how they work together.

In addition to these topics webinar attendees will be given the opportunity to put questions to the Fermentis team through an open Q&A.

The webinar takes place at 12pm AEDT on Wednesday, 30 October and is free to members of the Australian Distillers Association and is $50 for non-members.
