Henkell Trocken Sparkling Wine NV launched a new look bottle and label in Sydney on Wednesday night as part of a global roll-out for the company targeting “expanding consumer sparkling drinking occasions”. The bottle and label refresh is the first change to the brand’s exterior packaging since 2009.
Henkell launched Trocken Sparkling Wine NV this year at ProWein International Trade Fair Wines and Spirits in Dusseldorf, Germany and has since become Europe’s highest selling sparkling wine. Both the Henkell Trocken Sparkling Wine NV 750ml and 200ml piccolo bottles will carry the new look from mid-September onward.
The new design includes: a slimmer bottle silhouette, inspired by the classic Champagne bottle; a structured crown cap with palpable embossing; new label and neck ribbon; embossed foil with fleur-de-lis; embossed lettering; hot foil stamping; blind embossing and emphasised fleur-de-lis.
“The new look gives the brand a stylish and vibrant design while at the same time lending it even more international appeal,” Henkell Export Director Klaus Kuerten told media, McWilliams Wines representatives and assorted guests invited to see the new release and to enjoy the food at ArgyleExhange Private Dining Room, at The Rocks, in Sydney.
“What people like and don’t like evolves, so brands have to adapt as society develops," said Kuerten. “We wanted to stay relevant for our consumers. At the same time, Henkell has a beautiful history of more than 158 years."
Henkell Trocken Sparkling Wine NV features hints of ripe pear and green apple. The dry sparkling wine is exported to more than 100 countries with Australia one of the brand’s top 10 markets. Available Sizes: 200 ml, 750 ml. RRP $17.99 per 750ml, $13.99 per 3 x 200ml, 11.5% ABV.
Available from leading liquor stores, nationally.
