The Vinexposium Group has confirmed that Vinexpo Asia 2025 will return to Singapore in May this year, following its successful debut there in 2023.
The Group describes Singapore as the gateway to the Asia-Pacific market and so the show will offer an in-depth program designed to meet the challenges facing the industry today.
Vinexpo Asia 2025 will run from 27 – 29 May, at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and will bring together 1100 exhibitors from over 20 countries, who welcome 11,000 professional visitors from 70 countries, across three days of business opportunities.
Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of the Vinexposium group, said: “The global wine and spirits industry faces a pivotal geo-economic challenge with declining consumption worldwide. In this context, seizing commercial opportunities is imperative. Southeast Asia, with Singapore as its key business hub, is where growth happens.
“Vinexpo Asia in May will be the prime event for industry leaders to connect and thrive in this dynamic region.”
Vinexpo Asia 2025 is expected to attract a wide range of stakeholders from across the Asia Pacific, including established wine markets such as Japan, South Korea, and China. The event is poised to create significant opportunities for emerging markets, including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, which are showing promising growth potential.
According to the International Wine and Spirits Research (IWSR), the Asia Pacific region accounts for 10 per cent of global wine imports. Beverage alcohol consumption in the region is forecast to increase by 1.5 per cent in 2025, with the ready-to-drink segment seeing an even higher growth rate of 5.9 per cent.
Singapore, in particular, remains a key player in the industry, with the wine sector expected to grow by three per cent this year. The city-state is also seeing a steady increase in the market, with a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.18 per cent for wine and three per cent for spirits through 2028.
Singapore’s gastronomy and wine scene is thriving, with 54 restaurants earning Michelin stars in 2024. The city is also a leader in the premium and above category, holding a dominant 60 per cent market share in volume. Despite its competitive nature, Singapore’s wine and spirits market continues to expand, welcoming new products as long as their marketing strategies align with local demands.
Spirits will also make a strong showing, with representation from Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, France, and China, highlighting the current trends.
The exhibition will welcome exhibitors from a diverse range of producing regions including Australia France and Italy, along with Spain, New Zealand, South Africa, Mexico, United Kingdom.
