Suntory Oceania has appointed Jared Chamberlain as the New Zealand Licensed Sales Director, who will lead the new partnerships strategy and drive its growth across the alcohol portfolio in New Zealand.

Chamberlain brings more than 18 years of beverage industry experience to the role with roles in Commercial Finance and sales and most recently as General Manager of the CCEP Sales Licensed team.

Speaking about his new position, Chamberlain said: “Having spent over 20 years in sales, this will be the first year I focus solely on building the route to market rather than selling, and I’m ready for the challenge.

“Bringing our portfolios together presents a huge opportunity to drive growth and deliver even greater value to our customers. Suntory is an amazing team of people who, by working as one, can create meaningful connections and build a stronger future together. It’s a thrill to be a part of Suntory at this pivotal time.”

Brad Erceg, Chief Commercial Officer of Suntory Oceania, added: “Jared’s appointment marks a key milestone in our transformation journey. His wealth of experience in the licensed channel and passion for people development make him the ideal candidate to drive growth in New Zealand.

“As we continue to lay the foundations for long-term success in New Zealand, Jared’s leadership will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our ambitions as a multi-beverage powerhouse.”

The $3bn Suntory Oceania drinks giant was first announced in August last year, creating the fourth-largest ANZ beverage group in Oceania.

Suntory Oceania’s 40 market-leading brands will include Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Hibiki Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club Whisky, -196, V Energy, Maximus, Suntory Boss Coffee among many more, and spans premium spirits, RTD (ready-to-drink) alcohol beverages, juice, water, soft drinks, coffee, energy and sports drinks.
