Watkins Wines has introduced Pure Glow Rosé, a lighter-styled wine infused with marine collagen, a widely used peptide across beauty, health and wellness sectors.
Made from the skin and scales of fish, often discarded for waste, the use of marine collogen has become increasingly popular. Australia’s marine collogen market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10.3 per cent from 2025 to 2030.
With growing liquor trends in search of moderation, Jo Watkins Founder of Pure Glow Drinks says that its Rosé is an innovative blend that captures a new market and demographic of drinkers.
“Pure Glow Rosé represents a truly unique connection between conscious living and luxury,” she said.
“We set out to craft a wine with innovation at its core and create an experience that resonates with the new cohort of wine drinkers entering the market today. Pure Glow is part of the new wave of drinks that break tradition by fusing trends and concepts from across different categories, which we hope will pique the interest of those not entirely familiar with wine or perhaps don’t see themselves in what is traditionally marketed in the wine category.
“Pure Glow is an invitation to enjoy a wine that’s delicious and mindful—whether during quiet moments of relaxation or shared with friends, but in a way that reflects modern values. I am proud to bring such an exciting innovation to Australia alongside my brother, and the Pure Glow winemaker, Sam Watkins.”
Winemaker Sam Watkins considers marine collogen to be a more sustainable choice compared to other alternative collagen materials. Infused with South Australian fruit, tasting notes for the blend of Grenache, Shiraz, and Merlot describe “notes of strawberry and cherry”, with marine collogen “undetectable on the pallet”.
The Pure Glow Rosé carries a $25 RRP and is lighter in alcohol, at 9.5 per cent ABV. The Pure Glow Rosé is available online at Pure Glow Drinks and at selected bottle shops.
