Oyster Bay is adding to its range of wines in Australia with the launch of a Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris.

The new wine will add to the current Oyster Bay range which includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sparkling Cuvée Brut and Sparkling Cuvée Rosé.

The company said that the Pinot Gris “represents a significant opportunity”, with the Pinot Gris category “currently in strong growth and being driven by the premium segment, sparked by younger consumers with a thirst for elegant, aromatic and refreshing wines styles”.

Described as being “elegant and refreshing with honeysuckle, subtle spice and hints soft pear with a crisp, apple freshness”, the cool climate wine comes from the Crownthorpe region of Hawke’s Bay.

The Pinot Gris is available now in a spread of independent stores including Cellarbrations, IGA Liquor and Liquor Barons, with a $19.99 RRP.
