The Glendronach, one of Scotland’s oldest licensed distilleries, has unveiled two new expressions in the ultra-premium core range to follow on from the restaging of the brand in late 2024. Both represent a new era of sherry cask excellence from the revered Highland Single Malt.
The Glendronach 21 Years – While the packaging reflects the brand’s elevated new look, the whisky itself, which is aged for a minimum of 21 years, remains unchanged – a hallmark of The Glendronach’s unwavering commitment to its heritage and sherry cask mastery. Matured in a combination of the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Andalucía, Spain, The Glendronach Aged 21 Years is a richly layered and full-bodied Highland Single Malt, celebrated for its depth and complexity. Bottled at 48% ABV and presented with its natural cask-imparted colour, this expression delivers an enveloping mouthfeel, telling a story of bold duality, where robust Highland spirit meets the warmth of Spanish flair in a crescendo of sherry richness unlike any other.

The Glendronach 30 Years – A captivating Highland Single Malt that showcases the sublime artistry of marrying whisky from three distinct styles of sherry cask. Master Blender Rachel Barrie has expertly woven together the character of spirits matured in Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, and, for the first time, Amontillado sherry casks to create a whisky of exceptional richness and layered complexity.
The inclusion of the Amontillado cask adds a particularly sophisticated layer of toasted hazelnut and mellow crème caramel, which beautifully complements the signature notes of dark cherry, chocolate, and spiced fruit from the Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso casks.
Following last year’s celebrated relaunch of The Glendronach, these new expressions continue the brand’s ascent, marking a new milestone of sherry cask artistry. These remarkable whiskies represent the culmination of decades of patience and unwavering dedication to the distillery’s craft. Each expression is a testament to the profound character drawn from the finest Spanish sherry casks, which have been sleeping peacefully in the distillery’s traditional dunnage warehouses in the Valley of Forgue.
Both are available from September 2025, please contact your Brown-Forman representative for more information on these and the wider The Glendronach Single Malt Whisky range.
