Perth foreshore venue The Old Brewery has installed an on-site microbrewery and is now selling three kinds of boutique beer on site.
They are Riverside Reserve, a Bavarian-style lager; Angus Pale Ale; an American pale ale; and Mounts Bay Brown Ale, a Northern English-style brown ale. The beers are available on tap only.
The microbrewery is being manned by Mark Reilly, a Perth local who previously worked at Swan Valley breweries Duckstein, Ironbark and Elmar’s in the Valley.
He has forged a local following for experimenting with various styles of beer that have been acknowledged with two silver and a bronze medal at the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).
The Old Brewery on the Perth foreshore recently reopened following extensive remodelling by new owner, Fraser’s Restaurant Group. It is being marketed as a high-quality and polished steakhouse, and has various dining areas throughout, segregated by long sheer curtains.
The Old Brewery faces the Swan River and has boat-mooring facilities. It features a glass-encased wine cellar, 230 secure parking spots and a rustic-meets-retro décor.
The Fraser’s Restaurant Group portfolio includes The Old Brewery, Fraser’s Restaurant, Bluewater Grill in Applecross and Indian’s on Cottesloe Beach.
