One of Wollongong’s top gaming venues has hit the market amid a vendor run on high potential pubs throughout New South Wales.

Enjoying a top ten ranking in the precinct, Dicey Riley’s boasts a late licence and currently only 15 EGMs, but with potential for more.

Given its proximity to Wollongong station and current lack of smoking solution for the gaming room, Ray White’s Joel Fisher said the pub is punching above its weight and offers “serious upside”.

“The main-street location enjoys substantial foot traffic, but Dicey Riley’s currently offers no outdoor gaming solution, while all other venues in the area do. This could be easily rectified with a minor refurbishment.”

Adjacent to the $200 million redevelopment of Wollongong Central, and sitting on a large block with development potential, the hotel appears primed for a fresh operator to optimise its profitability.

Ray White Hotels is marketing the hotel, which will go to auction at the Auction Centre on 28 August.

Fisher back in the game

Following a short hiatus after leaving his role running the national hotels team at CBRE, which followed a number of years before that with JLL, pub-specialist agent Joel Fisher (pictured) has accepted a position with Ray White Hotels.

Ray White Asia-Pacific director Andrew Jolliffe said the appointment is “a significant milestone”.

"In terms of professionalism and rapport with his client base, Joel enjoys an almost unparalleled reputation,” he said.
