Some of NSW's best-known venues are competing to become overall hotel of the year at the 2014 AHA Awards for Excellence next month.
A total of 14 city hotels are in the running with 10 venues competing for the country title.

A record number of hotels are nominated across more than 35 categories. Awards range from outstanding community service and achievement and best redeveloped/new hotel to new categories like rising star and the hotly contested best burger category.

AHA NSW CEO, John Whelan said the finalists list was the ultimate “best of” when it came to hotels across the state.

“All finalists on the list have worked hard to be there – they have been thoroughly vetted by a team of independent judges and auditors over a period of several months. They really do represent the best in the business,” he said.

“I congratulate all finalists and wish them the best of luck on the night.”
