Hostplus, the $20 billion national industry superannuation fund for workers in hospitality, tourism, recreation and sporting industries, has delivered another impressive year of investment returns for its Balanced MySuper investment option, making it one of the best performing funds in Australia.

This result ranks Hostplus in the top quartile of the best performing super funds in Australia.
In addition, as super is a long-term strategy, Hostplus investment returns for the Balanced Option to 30 June 2016, also consistently delivered top quartile returns over three, five, seven and 10 years. Ninety per cent of Hostplus members invest in the Hostplus Balanced MySuper option.
CEO David Elia said: “We are delighted to once again deliver top quartile investment results to our members in what has been a year plagued with a lot of economic and political uncertainty impacting global markets.”
David Elia attributes a lot of the Hostplus’ long term investment success to having a young demographic and a well-diversified portfolio.
