One of Australia’s largest business to business publishing and events companies – The Intermedia Group – is recruiting for a media sales person to work across three trade focused liquor titles. The publications include bars&clubs, Australian Hotelier as well as the leading liquor industry news publication TheShout.com.au.
The Role
As the Media Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling advertising and sponsorships to companies that want to grow their business in the on-premise liquor industry. These companies include the spirit houses, brewers, wineries and gaming companies.
The titles, which include both digital and print products, are supported by experienced editorial staff and a well-established advertising client base. You will play a fundamental role in growing established business and developing new business. This is a hands-on selling role requiring outstanding relationship skills.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales and preferably, but not essentially, have experience working in the hospitality or liquor industry. Experience dealing with liquor companies would be an advantage.
The Person
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic sales professional who wants to immerse themselves in the liquor and hospitality industry.
You must be a self starter who is capable of executing your job with autonomy, and who is motivated by the opportunity to create a successful career in the media industry.
You will need to be able to pitch and present ideas in sales meetings and follow up with written proposals.
You must be able to service existing clients and hunt down new business.
In return for your efforts, you will be compensated with a competitive base salary plus superannuation, and access to an uncapped commission incentive scheme.
