The Australian Liquor Stores Association (ALSA) has confirmed the list of speakers for its annual conference, kicking off in Perth later this month.
More than 200 liquor retailers and suppliers will converge on Burswood Entertainment Complex for three days of business sessions, panel discussions and workshops that will explore the concept of convenience in the retail liquor industry.
Deputy leader of the opposition, Julie Bishop, will open the conference on Monday, 29 August with delegates also set to hear from business experts, key liquor industry experts and suppliers including Peter Switzer, Nielsen’s Michael Walton, futurist Steve Tighe and elite athlete and AFL coach, Stan Alves.
Delegates will also have the chance to undertake a study tour of local Perth liquor retailers and attend workshops on retail store layout and armed robbery survival skills.
This year’s conference marks the first time it will be held in Perth, with record attendance expected.
The conference begins with a welcome dinner on Sunday, 28 August before wrapping up on Thursday, 1 September.
