West Australian retail banner group Liquor Barons has ended its exclusive supply arrangement with Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM), opening the door for its members to deal with other wholesalers.
Confirming the move, Liquor Barons general manager Chris O'Brien told TheShout: “We’d like to thank ALM for many years of service, but feel in the interests of our members achieving the most economical and most flexible supply chain solution, the right decision for our group was to adopt a multi wholesaler strategy.”
“We will now be allowing our members to purchase from whichever wholesaler they choose.”
WA outfit Liquid Mix has now become the wholesaler of choice for some of Liquor Barons’ member outlets.
“They are able to provide a level of service that really suits our members’ current needs,” O’Brien said.
“We look forward to working with both ALM and Liquid Mix for many years into the future.”
