South Australia’s independent banner group, SipnSave, has elected its first female member to its board.
Bodelle Francis (pictured) has joined the SipnSave board, having previously been a board member of the South Australian Jockey Club and its current vice deputy chairman.
Francis is the general manager of the family-run Francis Group of Hotels which has a number of pub venues including three SipnSave drive-throughs and extensive interests in the racing industry.
SipnSave chairman Tony Hurley said Francis will make a valuable addition to the board.
“Bodelle is an experienced board director with an extensive background in the hospitality and liquor industries and her business knowledge and insights will be invaluable,” said Hurley.
“The industry has changed enormously and today our drive-throughs and bottleshops are warm and welcoming, attracting customers from a diverse range of age groups and backgrounds. We look forward to working with Bodelle to continue to strengthen what is an iconic South Australian brand.”
Francis said she is looking forward to making a contribution to SipnSave.
“Boards require diversity and I find I bring another perspective to discussions which can result in new and fresh outcomes.”
SipnSave is South Australia’s largest group of independently owned hotels and bottleshops, with more than 100 outlets across the state, including 50 in the metropolitan area.
