Carlton Dry will launch the final installment of its ‘Legends of the Dry’ campaign next Wednesday (April 20), with the release of a three-minute mini-blockbuster short film starring Steven Segal.

The film, called Sheep Impact, was created as part of competition being run by Carlton Dry which encouraged Australians to enter their best beer story to the Carlton Dry team, with the winning story being turned into the film.

Carlton Dry fan, Paul Weiland, submitted the winning story and can now claim that Steven Segal has played the role of him in a film.

As part of his prize, Weiland and his wife were flown to America to assist in the production of the film and meet with Segal on set.

“The winning story, which we’ve entitled Sheep Impact, brought together three likely ingredients – a road trip with mates, a barbecue, and a hot girl, but threw in a sheep for good measure,” said Carlton group marketing manager, Vincent Ruiu.

“We wanted Aussies to submit their favourite, ‘over a beer’ stories. The funny, exciting stuff that gets better the more times you tell it. Paul’s story definitely fits the bill. No matter how many times he tells it over a beer, it always gets a laugh. It was the first time Paul and his wife had ever gone overseas so we were stoked to have them win.”

The trailer for Sheep Impact and the full feature film will be available to view online next week at the Carlton Dry Facebook page and also at www.carltondry.com.au.
