David Halliday has been appointed as Campari Australia's new managing director Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands.
Halliday has experience of several FMCG and alcohol markets around the world and his most recent position was as Diageo’s commercial director, Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific.
Halliday said: "I’m looking forward to joining Campari Australia at this exciting time.
"The business has grown impressively since establishing its Australian office around five years ago and I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead the company’s highly motivated Team and to work closely with business partners to spearhead the growth of some of the world’s most loved spirits brands in this region."
Campari’s managing director, Asia Pacific, Mr Franco Peroni, said that he's confident Halliday's experience will help the company to deliver growth.
Peroni said: "David brings a wealth of knowledge to this role. His extensive experience in senior leadership and customer-focused roles in the alcohol industry will be extremely valuable as we continue to expand our portfolio and develop our business in this region.
"I am confident that under David’s lead our Team will continue to deliver impressive growth of our brands in close collaboration with our trade partners."
The date for Halliday starting in his new position has not yet been confirmed, but in a statement Campari Australia said it will be announced shortly.
