ILG’s Chairman Neville Blair this week announced the board’s unanimous decision in the appointment of Paul Esposito as the co-operative’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Effective as of 3 April 2017, Esposito was appointed after a “comprehensive” selection process carried out by Mondo Search, a specialised executive recruitment agencies in the liquor industry.
Blair said of the appointment: “The board is pleased to have found the most suitable candidate to assume the leadership role at ILG and we are delighted that Paul has accepted the role.”
Esposito (pictured) comes to ILG with many years’ experience in the liquor industry, having worked with Coopers Premium Beverages for 14 years, where he held two key positions.
Beginning in 2003, as NSW/ACT state manager, he then assumed the role of national sales manager in 2005, achieving over 500 per cent growth in beer literage sales, representing 90 per cent of the company’s generated profit.
Blair added: “Paul is a great fit with the leadership competencies set by the board having demonstrated driven growth and tactical commercial insight. This combined with his profound Industry knowledge makes Paul highly qualified to lead the next stage of ILG’s continued progression.”
Esposito says that he is pleased to be offered the role and the chance to work with ILG.
“My association with ILG goes a long way, having been in the industry over the past 26 years,” he says. “I am extremely honoured to have been selected as the co-operative’s new CEO. I look forward to this great opportunity, that will allow me to make a contribution to this unique, family-oriented organisation, in close partnership with the board, management, staff and its valued members.”
