Weston's has released a new cider backed by acclaimed UK chef Marco Pierre White that the company says is ideally suited for matching with food.
The Governor Cider is an authentic cider made from cider apples and fermented for over six months providing a cider of depth, character and length, according to Weston's local distributor, World Brands Australia (WBA).
"With no added sugars, additives, colours or flavours there is nothing to mask the cider makers' toil in creating a truly apple driven cider to compliment any chef’s masterpiece," said WBA managing director Paul Wormley.
Wormley, who is a passionate advocate of 'real' cider, said the endorsement of The Governor Cider by Marco Pierre White is proof of the product's quality.
According to Weston's, the new cider is a "lightly hazy" English-style cider, with a fresh apple flavour that carries hints of citrus and spice.
