Absolut has commissioned five New Zealand bars to design cocktails inspired by the art works of Otiz Frizzel.

The campaign has inspired the creation of Absolut Kiwi Passion by Lenin in Auckland, Absolut Frizz by Sandwiches in Wellington, Absolut Ch’iki Tiki’ by Concrete in Christchurch, Absolut Delight by the Bioler Room in Queenstown and Absolut Waipro by Toast in Dunedin.

Absolut’s relationship with internationally renowned artists dates back to the 1950s. It commissioned Andy Warholl to design an art print of the iconic vodka bottle in 1985 and US-Japanese artist Kenji Hirata to create an ad for Absolut Raspberri titled ‘Absolut Release’.

“We are a talented and creative community and it has been exciting to see one of New Zealand’s leading artists inspire our leading edge bars,” said Maxxium New Zealand brand manager – Absolut, Debbie Egerton.

“As a result, consumers will be able to experience their visions, expressed through five new and unique Absolut Create cocktails.”
