Absolut vodka has announced the launch of its annual limited edition bottle with this year's theme of ‘Glimmer’ replacing last year's leather-studded vinyl cover 'Rockstar' bottle.
Re-working the bottle with crystal-patterned glass, the release of Absolut Glimmer coincides with a new initiative from the brand called ‘Make the Present Exceptional’, which encourages people to celebrate and pursue their secret passions.
Teaming up with photographer Murray Fredericks, Absolut has commissioned him to capture an exclusive shot of the night sky in South Australia’s salt lakes, which will become the main image of the upcoming ‘Glimmer’ advertising campaign.
“As the campaign mantra suggests, this year’s campaign is about seizing the moment and expressing your creativity…regardless of the confines of your regular day-to-day commitments”, said Absolut senior brand manager Kris Powell.
The ‘Glimmer’ limited edition vodka will be available from October with a RRP of $40.
Past limited edition bottles have included 2008’s ‘Masquerade’, featuring a red-sequined removable cover and last year’s leather-studded vinyl cover ‘Rockstar’ themed bottle.
