Members of the Australian Casino Association (ACA) have voted to change its name to the Australasian Casino Association.
Executive director Chris Downy said that the name change better describes the 18 members of the association, made up of 13 Australian and five New Zealand casinos.
“[It] reflects the membership base of the association and was a logical step to take,” Downy said.
The ACA was formed in 1992 after a group of Australian casino operators decided to form a united body.
Each year Australia and New Zealand casinos attract nearly 56.04 million visitors, with visitors spending over $3.6 billion at Australian casino properties alone.
