After nearly a quarter century, the biggest gaming expo in the Southern Hemisphere is moving from its traditional home to a new interim facility on Glebe Island.

For the past 24 years the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) has taken place at Darling Harbour’s Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, which is to undergo a major redevelopment through 2014, 2015 and 2016.

During that time, the AGE will be on show at a specially-built interim exhibition facility to be known as Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island.

Event owner and operator, the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), has confirmed the 2014 show will cover more than 15,000 square metres, and will take place: Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 August.

The new temporary facility has absolute water frontage on three sides to Sydney Harbour and features spectacular views of the Anzac Bridge, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and many other harbour icons.

Fully serviced exhibition facilities including a range of pop-up bars and restaurants will be provided for the Australasian Gaming Expo.

Complimentary ferry services will operate from Darling Harbour and complimentary shuttle buses will operate from Central Station during the event.

Further information about the venue is available at www.sydneyexhibitioncentre.com.au.
