The Australian Hotels Association NSW has warned would-be hotel patrons they should vaccinate now if they want to enjoy a drink at their local when the pubs reopen.
The NSW Government has outlined its pathway to reopening, saying venues will be allowed to reopen on the Monday after the state reaches 70 per cent vaccination rate.
“This is great news for pubs, our staff and our patrons,” said AHA NSW CEO John Whelan today. “We’ve all had enough of existing like this. Let’s get vaccinated and get our lives back
“We can’t wait to get back to work and to open in a safe, fully vaccinated environment – and we want you to be ready to join us for a meal with family and friends or a drink with mates – all those things we have been missing.
“Today’s message is simple – if you want to get back to the pub as soon as possible, get vaccinated now.
“You’ll need two shots to be allowed entry and you don’t want to be the one left out when we open up.”
AHA NSW also welcomed news parts of regional NSW would exit lockdown this weekend.
