Allara Global has announced the launch of a new online course, LGBTQ+ Inclusion in the Workplace, which has been developed in partnership with ACON Pride Training.
ACON is a leading LGBTQ+ community health organisation dedicated to creating inclusive communities and workplace, and the new course aims to help organisations foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The course provides businesses in the hospitality industry with essential knowledge on LGBTQ+ barriers, inclusive language, and best practices for supporting LGBTQ+ employees and guests.
Tamara Quader, Head of Learning Design from Allara Global, said: “Partnering with ACON Pride Training has enabled us to create a course that is both comprehensive and practical for businesses seeking to lead in diversity and inclusion.
“This course equips workplaces with the tools they need to create safer, more welcoming environments for all.”
ACON Pride Training also emphasised the importance of this initiative in addressing LGBTQ+ inclusion in workplaces.
Kent Hildred – National Program Manager, Pride Training – said: “LGBTQ+ allyship begins with recognising that everyone deserves dignity and respect, but it requires active effort to ensure inclusion is a daily reality.
“This training equips participants with the knowledge and skills to foster LGBTQ+ inclusive interactions, services, and spaces. At ACON Pride Training, we aim to empower our clients with the tools to support LGBTQ+ communities in living their healthiest lives. Our collaboration with Allara Global allows us to expand our reach and impact, promoting workplace inclusion where individuals can bring their whole selves to work without fear of stigma or discrimination.
“We are excited to see the positive changes this partnership will bring to our communities.”
Allara Global said this collaboration reflects its ongoing commitment to provide businesses with world-class training that meets the evolving needs of the modern workforce, empowering them to lead in inclusion, equity, and social responsibility.
