Angove Family Winemakers scooped the pool at the 9th Annual G100 Super Wine Awards in China.
Held as part of the 92nd Chengdu Food and Drinks Fair, the awards received over 750 entries, with only nine gold medals awarded across the categories.
Angove’s 2012 Family Crest Shiraz outshone its competitors, winning gold in the Shiraz class and Top Red Wine of Show, along with being the equal highest scoring wine of the show with 90.3 points.
Angove’s director of sales and marketing, Tim Boydell, was representing the winery at the fair and awards ceremony, and accepted the award alongside the brand’s Chinese distributor, Martin Wang from Mercuris.
“Congratulations to all involved in the making of this wonderful wine, especially the winemakers and vineyard teams – well done,” said Boydell.
