The Angullong Vineyard of Orange has joined with Ronald McDonald House (RMH) as the wine sponsor for the upcoming Snowflake Ball.

The event will be held in Orange on the July 18 to raise funds for the building of the new RMH Central West in Orange, which will provide lodging for the families of children undergoing extended hospital stays in Orange.

To date, close to $1 million has been raised toward the estimated $1.8 to $2 million required to build the facility.

The Snowflake Ball has attracted a raft of culinary support with celebrity Chef Ben O’Donoghue joining Balzac’s Matt Kemp and Orange’s Michael Manners in preparing the menu, with local produce taking centre stage. The night will be hosted by Simon Reeve from Channel Seven’s Sunrise program and Alison Reis from Prime TV.

The Snowflake Ball is organised by RMH chairperson of events, Kylie Lewis-Minogue.

“When parents think of their child’s future, an extended stay in hospital is not part of the plan,” she said. “We hope that a Ronald McDonald House serving [NSW’s] Central West will ease the load at a difficult time.”

Added Angullong’s Ben Crossing: “This is such a great cause, we feel privileged to have been invited to be part of it.”

Tickets to the Snowflake Ball are available through Ticketek.
