Archie Rose Distilling Co. has partnered with Sydney florist September Studio and artist James Drinkwater to release September Gin as part of the distillery’s newly launched Tailored Creator Series.

With more than a million social media followers around the world, consumers are drawn to September Studio founder Bryce Heyworth’s playful and exploratory approach to floral bouquets and design. Driven by their shared passion for Aussie flora, Heyworth collaborated with the Archie Rose distilling team to create this new release.

Inspired by September Studio’s vibrant, dynamic floral arrangements, the gin features botanicals used in the florist’s bouquets. The ultra-fragrant mix features strawberry gum, lemon myrtle, native thyme, peach and mandarin.

Heyworth said that September Gin is a good representation of her store.

“The process of creating the September Gin was really like a distillation of our flower shop, with the flavour profile that we created reflecting seven of the botanicals we use within our arrangements in store. I started by building from ingredients that I like, then worked with colours and shapes and textures to create a final product. I really wanted to make a product where people could get a taste of September Studio through this gin,” she said.

Consumers are able to personalise their gin bottle with a choice of three bespoke label artworks by James Drinkwater, with a personalised message on the back. Drinkwater has exhibited internationally and been a finalist in prestigious Australian art prizes, including the Wynne Prize, Sulman Prize, and Dobell Drawing Prize. The label artworks come from a series called Mid-September, inspired by September Studio floral arrangements, and complete.

Archie Rose recommends serving Archie Rose x September Gin with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic and a wedge of orange. It is available direct from Ariche Rose from 25 September, with an RRP of $99.
