Wine Australia is encouraging wine regions, wineries, restaurants, bars and retailers to get involved in Aussie Wine Month 2015, the biggest annual celebration of Australian wine held in May each year.

Registrations of wine-focused activities and events are now open and will support the month-long promotion of Australian wine, which aims to raise awareness among consumers of the diversity, quality and regionality of Australian wines.

Now in its fourth year, events will take place around the country, in wine regions and city locations as Aussie Wine Month encourages consumers to discover and support Australian wine throughout May.

Wine Australia’s Aaron Brasher said the Aussie Wine Month campaign is an opportunity for wineries and trade to partner with Wine Australia, extend their reach in the domestic consumer market and drive consumption and appreciation of our local wines.

“Aussie Wine Month 2015 is an opportune time to encourage consumers to explore our diverse wine regions, discover some great Australian wines and choose to buy locally made wine in the future.

“Events in the past have included tastings, dinners, winery walks, festivals and pop-up cellar doors and we’re encouraging businesses that are getting involved to be innovative and creative in their thinking.”

Participation in Aussie Wine Month is free and events will be promoted via the Aussie Wine Month website and a national public relations campaign.
